Aatmanirbhar LBS holds Annual Center Chiefs Review Meeting at Baijachur branch
Ghorahi, Dang: 26 March 2021: Aatmanirbhar LBS held its Annual Center Chiefs Meeting at Baijachur branch at the meeting hall of Baijapur Rural Municipality on March 26, 2021.
The center chief’s annual review meeting was attended by over 100 women representing a total of 84 centers, where Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra promoted Aatmanirbhar LBS is operating its microfinance services.
The annual review meeting was presided over by branch manager Umesh Chaudhary, while Mrs Aasmani Chaudhary presided as chief guest, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shogat Bir Chaudhary as special guest and Madhaba Pokharel presided over as guest on the occasion. The participants were welcomed by Madhaba Pokhrel through welcome speech.
The review meeting felicitated the best social entrepreneurs who had taken microloan from Aatmanirbhar LBS and achieved exemplary success which could be replicated by other women members. Those selected and awarded as the best entrepreneurs included Aasmita Kumari Chaudhary of Sapana Mahila Utthan Kendra no 24, Radhika Oli of Bhuwar Bhawani Mahila Utthan Kendra no 9, and Singarani Tharu of Samay Bhawani Mahila Utthan Kendra no 56 from Baijapur rural municipality respectively.
The program also distributed scholarship support to five year old Ridam Tharu, a class one student, the son of Dropati Namuwa Tharu of Srijansil Mahila Utthan Kendra, Kumbar Banke whose father was dead in an accident. The scholarship support was given as a part of fulfillment of corporate responsibility of Aatmanirbhar LBS which has been initiated from this year.
Similarly, four centers associated with Aatmanirbhar LBS were also felicitated for being the first, second, third and fourth best centers. These centers include, Satya Mahila Utthan Kendra No-14, Bageshwory Mahila Utthan Kendra no 41, Chameli Mahila Utthan Kendra no 21 as the first, second and third centers respectively while Parbat Mahila Utthan Kendra no 11 was also given consolation certificate as the fourth best centers.
The review meeting also collected the grievances of the representative of the various center chiefs to be considered. The CEO of Aatmanirbhar LBS responded to all kinds of queries raised by members in the meeting. The chief guest of the occasion, Mrs. Aasmani Chaudhary narrated how the Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra was established almost 26 years ago to improve the livelihood, empowerment, literacy of rural women, who were limited to four walls of the houses, and later how Aatmanirbhar LBS was started to reduce the poverty of the rural women by improving their income generation capacities by providing them micro-loans to start-up social entrepreneurship to become self-reliant.
Other guest speakers included Pradeshu Ram Tharu representing the guardians of members who encouraged the members to make appropriate use of loans by investing in the income generation activities and not to waste the money in other unnecessary things.
The review meeting ended with the concluding remarks of branch manager Umesh Chaudhary while the program was moderated by Kalidash Chaudhary.
