5th AGM of Aatmanirbhar LBS held

January 14, 2023: The 5th Annual General Convention (AGM) of Aatmanirbhar LBS was held on January 13, 2023, at Hotel Mala Inn in Ghorahi Sub Metropolis amidst a huge gathering of its shareholders.

The AGM was formally inaugurated by its president Meera Chaudhary.

Over 100 participants including the main shareholders, IPO shareholders, senior staff, Global IME representative,  Insurance agent, media persons, and well-wishers attended the huge AGM function.

The steering committee members of this microfinance institution including Tika Ram Chaudhary, Aruna Chaudhary, Mina Giri, Goma Mahara, and current president Meera Chaudhary, Chief Executive Officer Shogat Bir Chaudhary were present on the occasion, while election officer Dhan Singh Giri was also present during the AGM.

The audience was welcomed by a welcome speech from senior staff Sushila Giri after which the president Meera Chaudhary read out the progress report of the financial institution including challenges encountered in the past.

Then the floor was opened for the audience during which a few speakers spoke about the financial status of the company.

Then the guests including media persons were allowed to speak to felicitate the microfinance company. Journalists such as Savin Priyason, Sarad Adhikari, and insurance agent Lok Raj Prajuli spoke on the occasion. Shareholder Bhim Kant Chaudhary also spoke on behalf of shareholders.

Then CEO Shogat Bir Chaudhary delivered his speech about the ongoing challenges created by unseen agents and the lack of sympathy from the security agencies and government to protect the microfinance companies operating in the country to uproot the poverty from the rural communities. All the agenda presented before the huge AGM mass was passed by the AGM members.

After this, the occasion was graced by the speech of founding chair Aasmani Chaudhary who spoke about the difficulties and challenges of starting this microfinance company in the past.

This was followed by concluding remarks of President Meera Chaudhary who concluded the first session of this 5th AGM moderated by Parbati Basnet.

Then the second session worked for the induction of two members from general members for the steering committee of this company. This process of election was conducted by the election officer -advocate Dhan Singh Giri and finally, two general members -Amar Bahadur Khadka and Krishna Bahadur Khatri were elected unopposed to the steering committee of this company.

The two new members of the working committee were asked to take the oath of secrecy by President Meera Chaudhary in the presence of the election officer Dhan Singh Giri after which the AGM was closed and dispersed. The AGM has announced that the bonus will be divided among the shareholders.
